Vernon Brice Paisley of Landenberg

Vernon Brice Paisley, 77, of Landenberg, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, at his daughter’s home in Clayton, Del.

Born in Landenberg, he was the son of the late James Herchell and Jessie

Vernon was a chemical research technician at Hercules Inc., in Wilmington, for 38 years.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery and photography. He was a member of the Brandywine Long Rifles Club, where he won many awards for excellent marksmanship. He was also a member of the Delaware Bowbenders Archery Club, where he took part in many competitions. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Potter County, with his best friend Kevin Murphy, and driving around with his two dogs, Maggie and Molly.

Vernon is survived by one daughter, Julianne Paisley Corley of Clayton,; one daughter-in-law, Julie Paisley of Landenberg; one brother, Raymond Edward Paisley of Landenberg; two sisters, Lillian Ruth Robins and Margaret Louise Hopkins, both of Landenberg; five grandchildren, Stephanie Paisley, Emily Paisley, Colton Squiccimara, Gabriel Corley and Natalie Corley, and his former wife, Judith Paisley Lusk.

He was predeceased by one son, Vernon Brian Paisley; three brothers, Donald Hale Paisley, Joseph O’Brien Paisley and James Robert Paisley, and one sister, Faye Marie Paisley.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street in Kennett Square (Phone: 610-444-4116). His Memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
