Helen D Woods, 96, of Kennett Square, died Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington. She was the wife of the late J. Jackson Woods who died in 2007 and with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.
Born in Long Island, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late John and the late Stephania (Baginska) Dudek.
Helen was a food server at the old JJ Newberry Department store in Kennett and Reese’s drug store.

She was a past member of the Kennett Square Presbyterian Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
Survivors include one daughter, Judith W. Nowark of Kennett Square; one son Gregory T. Woods of San Francisco, Calif.; one sister, Frances Martin of Rehoboth, Del; two granddaughters, Mandy Witulski and her husband Dave of Newark, and Stephanie Allee and her husband Bob of Chambersburg, and four great grandchildren, Emma, Jack, Leah, and Abby.
