Concord in brief: Acme gets its beer

• Concord Township supervisors approved the liquor license transfer for the Acme in the Concordville Town Centre. The board held a hearing on the request in July. Approval comes with several conditions, including limiting the consumption of beer and wine at the store to the specific restaurant section that the store wants to install — called The Frosted Mug at Acme.

Takeout beer sales will also be limited to 192 ounces, the equivalent to two six-packs. Beer and wine sales are also restricted to 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

• The Aug. 18 meeting of the Concord Township Planning Commission is now scheduled from 6 p.m. at Garnet Valley Middle School.
