BPA President Lisa Dort and host Tyler Terriault board the bus

From pizza pie to apple pie, the annual Dine-Around event was a taste trip through Delaware County. Undeterred by rain, members and guests of the Business and Professional Association of Western Delaware County boarded buses in downtown Chadds Ford Wednesday evening,  May 21.

First stop was La Porta, a new restaurant on Middletown Road in Media. The restaurant is owned by Hugh Donaghue, Esquire and James Bonner M.D.

With legal and medical issues fully covered, Chef Peter McAndrews got busy with wood oven fired  hors d’oeuvres.  Members were served on the side patio. Tyler J. Therriault of Donaghue & Labrum Law Firm hosted the first stop. Ever the gracious host, Terriault even provided to-go boxes because no one wanted to leave behind even one morsel.

Back on the bus, liquid good cheer was provided by the BPA. Next stop was Delightful Detail on Baltimore Pike in Concordville. The salad course was provided by the owners Anton and Christine Dell’Orefice. Tom Bird of Money Mailers provided refreshments.

Dr. Michael Krafchick of Glen Mills Family Medicine described his practice which treats the whole family. As members hoisted glasses of wine, he mentioned half jokingly that he also treated alcoholism.

Dr. Rachelle Lanciano of Crozer Brinton Lake Radiation Oncology described the use of Radiation as one treatment option for cancer patients. Her practice also offers CyberKnife alternative to invasive surgery.

Last, and certainly not least, dessert was served at Brandywine Prime. Members left the bus and ambled over to BP as it is affectionately known. The association holds its board and many of its regular meetings at BP. Michael Majewski hosted the final course for the evening.
