Election function added to ChescoCONNECT

In anticipation of primary election day on Tuesday, May 20th, Chester County has added a 2014 Election function to its recently launched mobile app ChescoCONNECT.

The 2014 Election button takes users to a specially created page with links to an interactive voter precinct directory, sample ballots for the primary election and the Chester County Voter Services website.  Election results will be available via the mobile app on the night of the election, after voter precincts close and file their returns to the Department of Voter Services.

The ChescoCONNECT app is free and can be downloaded to mobile devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.  It can be found with a key search word of Chesco or ChescoCONNECT.

ChescoCONNECT has 16 functionalities that represent a combination of some of the county’s most frequently visited website pages, and overall general information of interest to Chester County citizens.  Seasonal information such as election results are added to the app throughout the year.

ChescoCONNECT has sections devoted to county news, a calendar of meetings and events, Chester County parks and trails, health clinic calendars and information, courts information, emergency alerts through ReadyNotify PA, a directory of social services available to residents in Chester County, land use planning, and links to Chester County’s social media communication and YouTube channel.

Additional functions include details and locations of all Chester County government department offices, jobs available with the County, and restaurant inspection reports for all restaurants and food handling operations in Chester County.

Links to download the ChescoCONNECT app can also be found on the home page of the county’s website, www.chesco.org and on the website’s Restaurant Inspections Report page.

Chester County is the first county in Pennsylvania to initiate a strategic planning process and has a Aaa rating on its bonds from Moody’s Investors Service as well as AAA ratings from Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings.  Established by William Penn as one of Pennsylvania’s three original counties, Chester County has been named by Forbes.com as one of America’s best places to raise a family and is ranked one of the healthiest counties in Pennsylvania by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
