Shirley E. Haney of West Grove

Shirley E. Haney, 77, of West Grove, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald Ralph Haney who died in 1996 and with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in West Grove, she was a daughter of the late George and Geneva Duval Gross.

Shirley worked as a fabricator for Hewlett Packard in Avondale for many years.

She enjoyed gardening, animals, especially her two cats and many wild birds and squirrels that she fed year round. She was an avid cook and was best known for her fried chicken and fried tomato gravy.

Survivors include one son, Donald Ralph Haney Jr. of West Grove; one daughter, Lori A. Small (Douglas) of Onancock, Va.; one brother, George “Buddy” Gross (Georgia) of Tinton Falls, N.J.; one sister Janie Miller (Larry) of Lewes, Del.; and a granddaughter Amanda Brewer of Wilmington.

You are invited to visit with Shirley’s family from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-869-2685) 200 Rose Hill Rd. West Grove PA 19390.  Her life celebration service will follow. Interment will be private.
