Florence A. Kogut of Kennett Square

Florence A. Kogut, 86, of Kennett Square, formerly of Media, died Thursday, Jan. 16, at Brandywine Hall in West Chester. She was the wife of Theodore Kogut Sr., who died in 1986, and with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Louis Sr. and Helen Davis.

Mrs. Kogut was a salesperson at Strawbridge & Clothier in Media for 15 years.

She was a member of St. Francis de Sales in Lenni, but since moving to Kennett Square, she attended St. Patrick’s Church.

She enjoyed going to the casinos, playing cards and games, traveling and being with her family and friends.

Mrs. Kogut is survived by three sons, James J. Kogut Sr. and his wife Eileen of Kennett Square, Stephen Kogut and his wife Angie of West Chester, and Theodore Kogut Jr. and his wife Helen of Ridley Park; one brother, Louis Davis of Magnolia, N.J.; two sisters, Cecilia Coyle of Philadelphia, and Reenie Zaremba of Philadelphia, and five grandchildren, Jimmy, Kyle, Connor, Kathleen and Teddy.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, and again from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street in Kennett Square. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10, Tuesday morning, Jan. 21, at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Meredith Street in Kennett Square. Burial will be in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
