Chadds Ford zoning board OKs Wegman’s; hears Audi start up

The proposed Wegman’s supermarket has cleared another hurdle and now only has one more to go. After getting zoning, land use and conditional use approval from Concord Township, and a Planning Commission recommendation in Chadds Ford, it now has zoning approval in Chadds Ford Township. A proposed amendment to Concord Township’s zoning code came to a quick, but possibly only temporary, halt when supervisors unanimously agreed it should be modified. Birmingham budget includes funding for battle re-enactment

Birmingham Township now has its budget for 2014 and $20,000 of the anticipated $2 million in revenue is earmarked for a planned commemoration of the 1777 Battle of Brandywine to be held at Sandy Hollow. Three new firefighters for Longwood Fire Company

LONGWOOD _ Longwood Fire Company has three new firefighters as Corey Denton, Bas de Vries and Chuck Simmers successfully completed instruction at the Chester County Fire School.  A graduation ceremony for the three new firefighters took place on December 12 at the Wagontown Fire Company.
