Barbara Anne Berlin of West Chester

Barbara Anne Berlin, 86, of West Chester, died peacefully on Dec. 18, following a long illness.

Barbara was born in Yakima, Wash. to John and Genevieve Quinn on April 2, 1927.

Throughout her childhood, the family lived in several different countries including Chile and Romania. Upon returning to Washington, Barbara graduated from the Annie Wright Seminary in Tacoma. She attended Stanford University and graduated in 1948 from the University of Washington in Seattle.

After raising six children, Barbara became a real estate agent with Pierce and Bair in Kennett Square. Barbara loved to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren and the many wonderful friends she had made over the years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her older brother John and her husband of 54 years, Gordon E. Berlin.

Barbara is survived by her six children and their spouses, John, James (Chris), Richard (Billie Jo), Barbara (Randy), Anne, and Robert (Lisa), in addition to her brother Richard and his family. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Friends are invited to visit with Barbara's family from 1:30 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Kuzo and Grieco Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street in Kennett Square. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow. Burial will be private
