Mary K. Montgomery, 101, of Kennett Square, died Thursday, Dec. 26, at the family residence. She was the wife of the late John C. Montgomery, who died in 1994, and with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary Torpey Kiniry.

She was a homemaker, and enjoyed decorating for fashion shows, knitting, and being with her family and friends. Before getting married, Mrs. Montgomery was a statistical department manager at the Mobil Corporation. After raising her children, she operated a gift shop in Springfield.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Kennett Square.

She is survived by one son, John M. Montgomery and his wife Peg of Meadowbrook; one daughter, Mary M. Drinker and her husband Don of Kennett Square, and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by four brothers, David, William, Joseph and John Kiniry, and one sister, Catharine Kiniry.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 10 to 11:30 Saturday morning, Jan. 4, at St. Matthew Parrish, 2169 Fayette Street in Conshohocken. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Avon Grove Lions Club, 600 Baker Station Road, West Grove, PA  19390 or to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 East Marshall Street, West Chester, PA  19380.
