Charlene Monastra, 59, of West Chester, and Ocean City, N.J., died Dec. 2.
Born in Wynnewood, Charlene was the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Lawser.
She was a graduate of Harriton High School and Susquehanna University where she met the love of her life, Tom.
Charlene loved her family and friends and her happiest times were spent with them at their home on the lagoon in Ocean City, N.J. Her most recent joy was playing with her little grandson, Parker.
Nana Char will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Her laughter and sense of fun were a gift to all who knew her.
Charlene was the beloved wife of Thomas Monastra; loving mother of Leah M. Nelson (Matt), Brittany Monastra (Andrew Osberg) and Charles T. Monastra; loving grandmother of Parker; dear sister of Marilyn L. Lusch (Paul).
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Thursday 6-9 p.m. and to her Prayer Service 7 p.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
