William E. Smith, 93, of Saddlebrooke, Mo., formerly of Venice, Fla. and Landenberg, died Oct. 31. Bill was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Dora Taylor Smith.
Bill was a graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He was a WWII veteran, serving four years in the U.S. Army Air Force in both the US and Europe. Bill was a project investment supervisor and retired as the compensation supervisor for the Engineering Department of DuPont. He also maintained an income tax practice until he was 90 years old.
Bill is survived by his children, Lyn Love (Ron) of Saddlebrooke, Mo., Paula Petersen (Richard) of Lancaster, Richard Smith (Martha) of De Leon Springs, Fla., Carole Henry (Paul) of Chadds Ford, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a cousin Frances Seidle of Bloomsburg.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Road inWest Grove. A Memorial service will follow. Burial immediately following at the West Grove Friends Meeting Cemetery, Harmony Road in West Grove.
