The Kennett Symphony’s Beat Beethoven Walk

Can You? Will You?....... Beat Beethoven?

The Kennett Symphony of Chester County’s first annual Beat Beethoven 5K race/1 Mile Walk will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013, 6:30pm, at Radley Run Country Club, 1100 Country Club Road, West Chester, PA.

The object of the race/walk is to finish the course before Beethoven’s famous 5th Symphony finishes – approximately 32 minutes.  The run/walk will begin with the opening sounds of the 5th Symphony. The goal is to finish the course before the music ends, and therefore “beat” Beethoven.

All ages and abilities of runners and walkers are welcome.  Proceeds benefit the Kennett Symphony of Chester County.

Registration:  Pre-Registration: $20 in advance on the following websites: www.runccrs.com or www.kennettsymphony.org

On-site Registration: $25 on-site at Radley Run beginning at 5:30pm on race day, Thursday, July 18, 2013

 

After the Run/ Walk: All participants and supporters with their friends and families can relax in the lower lounge and shaded patio of the Radley Run Country Club. Free after-race munchies, as well as a cash bar and grill picnic available for purchase on site.

 

ABOUT THE KENNETT SYMPHONY OF CHESTER COUNTY: Celebrating its 72nd  season, the Kennett Symphony of Chester County is based in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and serves residents of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey, along with the thousands of tourists who attend the Kennett Symphony's popular summer concerts in Longwood Garden’s Open Air Theatre.  In addition to presenting varied and entertaining orchestral concerts, the Kennett Symphony encourages young musicians through annual Instrumental and Voice Competitions and its affiliation with the Kennett Symphony Children’s Chorus.
