Charles “Chattie” A. Bush of New London

Charles “Chattie” A. Bush, 81, of New London, died Tuesday, June 4, at Brinton Manor in Glen Mills.

Born in New London Township on June 8, 1931, he was the son of the late James P. and Reba Buckalew Bush.

He was a farmer for many years and then he worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 29 years, retiring in 1993.

Chattie was a member of the New London Presbyterian Church for many years, where he served as a deacon several times and he  also helped with church chores. He was a member of the New London Grange and the old New London bowling league and a former member of the Avon Grove Senior Center.

Charles is survived by one brother, J. Paul Bush of West Grove; one sister, Helen Downing of Kelton; two nieces, four nephews, several great-nieces and nephews and one great great-nephew, Tucker Beau Clary.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, at the New London Presbyterian Church, 1986 Newark Road (Route 896) in New London. His funeral service will follow. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
