Charleen Peirson Toliver of Cochranville

Charleen Peirson Toliver, 80, of Cochranville, died Monday, April 29 at her home. She was the wife of Herbert D. Toliver, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.

Born in New Garden Township, she was a daughter of the late Norwood and the late Marjorie (Ross) Peirson.

Charleen was a human resources manager for DuPont Company, retiring in 1991.

She was a two-time-worthy matron of the Eastern Star in Cochranville. She enjoyed sewing and gardening but most of all she enjoyed time with her family.

Survivors include in addition to her husband, two sons, Ronald A. Toliver (Pou) of Rising Sun. Md. and Allen Toliver (Sally) of Cochranville; one daughter, Audrey Emerson of West Grove; three brothers, Richard (Beverly) Peirson of West Grove, Robert Peirson of Newark, and Barry Peirson (Wilma) of Kennett Square; four sisters, Audrey Peirson of Newark, Beverly Peirson of Kennett Square, Marjorie Fisher (Hank) of Kennett Square and Lynne Sylvina (Tom) of Kennett Square; five grandchildren, Katherine, Krista, Brandy, Carrie, and Stephanie and six great grandchildren, Maliah, Eve, Natalie, Bane, Maizey and Sasha.

She was predeceased by a son James D. Emerson

You are invited to visit with Charleen’s family from 10-11 a.m., Thursday May 2, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 W. State Street in Kennett Square. A memorial service celebrating her life will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
