Police log Feb. 28

Sometime between Feb. 10 and 24, someone broke into a vehicle parked on Walnut Ridge Lane in Chadds Ford Township and stole a .25 caliber Beretta pistol. The victim is a 73-year-old Chadds Ford man. Police are asking anyone with information to call 484-840-1000.

• State police from Troop K, Media barracks, said they charged an Oxford man with DUI in Chadds Ford Township. A report said Edward Romanowski (no age given) was determined to be under the influence after he was stopped at Route 1 and Webb Road for committing several traffic offenses on Feb. 24.

• A Fuji digital camera and a gym bag with two pair of dance shoes were stolen from a car parked at the Shoppes of Brinton Lake on Feb. 23. Police said the value of the stolen property is $600, $400 for the camera and $200 for the bag and shoes.

• Travis Bowman, 30, of Hockessin, was arrested for DUI on Feb. 22. Police said Bowman was stopped on Route 202 near Naamans Creek Road in Concord Township.

• A 17-year-old driver was cited, police said, when he made a left turn onto Route 1 from southbound Creek Road and struck a car heading north on Creek Road. No injuries were reported following the Feb. 20 incident in Chadds Ford Township.

• A Quaryville woman was arrested for retail theft at the East Marlborough Township Walmart on Schoolhouse Road near Route 1. State police from Troop J, Avondale barracks, said Kimberly Nawasa Ewing, 36, was arrested Feb. 23 for stealing various cell phone accessories.
