Pennsylvania artists Glenn and Bruce Blues parents both artists and
graduates from Kutztown Teachers College, taught in public schools. Under
their apprenticeship Glenn began painting, exhibiting and selling his art.
After graduating high school, he joined the Navy, traveled the world,
squeezing in a few paintings and producing scores of cartoons satirically
documenting events and incidents in his life.  This pattern of cartooning
and painting continued even as he spent a colorful and exciting career as
a Pennsylvania State Trooper ... After 25 years of service, Glenn retired
from the State Police, 2011,  to continue his painting career.  Following
a successful one-man exhibit (2006) and group exhibits at Chadds Ford
Gallery, Glenn continues to travel, painting and studying with  various
international artists... noted renown watercolorists Nita Engle and
internationally known Alvaro Castagnet.  A signature member of the
Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, PWS International Juried Exhibitions,
recognized in many other juried exhibits and winning countless awards, his
paintings are found in many Private and Corporate collections, regionally,
nationally and abroad.  Glenn says, "I not only paint the places of
interest and beauty, I paint and capture the atmosphere, mood and emotion
with light often taking center stage ...". Glenn, his wife Peg; and studio
are in the York, PA area.

Bruce also grew up influenced by his surroundings and parental artistic
careers;  father, Gene Blue was a well known landscape artist in
Coatesville, PA.  Bruce  enjoyed pencil sketching and other painting
mediums through high school; he sold his first painting to a teacher in
11th grade. Bruce earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown
University, as a Communication Design major.  After college Bruce worked
as an illustrator for a technical training company, where he learned
computer drafting skills. Currently employed as a mechical designer,
encouraged by his brother Glenn, never giving up on  his love for fine
art, he continues sketching and painting. Attending various workshops,
studying various techniques and philosophies of painting, he joins Glenn
in their first art exhibit together ... both working in different styles,
mediums and sizes of their diverse works. "I try to find the beauty and
drama in the scenes I see and then, create an interesting composition.  I
want the viewer to experience the same sublime beauty in my painting, as
this to me, is the objective of an artist..." Bruce, wife Nita and family
reside in Pottstown, PA.
