Lorraine L. Toto, 65, of Avondale, died Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Christiana Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond J. Toto, Jr., with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.
Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Anthony V. and Julia Mary Canzana DeSanto.
Lorraine was a food service manager at the New Garden Elementary School, retiring in 2012 after 24-and-a-half years of service.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking, vacationing in Wildwood, N.J. and being with her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, Avondale.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Raymond Toto, III, Phillip Toto; one daughter, Regina Toto; one brother, Wayne DeSanto; two sisters, Jenny Leo and Rosalee Censurato; five grandchildren, Raymond IV, Robert, Sophia, Anthony and Trevor, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother, Anthony DeSanto Jr.
You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 10 to 11:30 Friday morning, Nov. 9, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Route 41), in Avondale. Her funeral Mass will follow. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kennett Square.
