John C. Rzucidlo of Cochranville

John C. Rzucidlo, 86, of Cochranville, died Thursday, Oct. 18, at his home. He was the husband of the late Elsie Miller Rzucidlo who died in 2007 and with whom he shared  60 years of marriage.

Born in Chester County, he was a son of the late Karol and the late Elizabeth Feret Rzucidlo.

John was a lifelong farmer in Cochranville operating the family business for over 48 years.

He was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Cochranville.

He was a lover of the earth and love farming, but most especially he loved his family and friends.  He loved practical jokes and was the life of the party.

Survivors include nine sons, Paul Rzucidlo (Mary), Thomas Rzucidlo, Carl Rzucidlo (Brenda) James Rzucidlo (Sue), David Rzucidlo (Pam), Mark Rzucidlo, Philip Rzucidlo, Richard Rzucidlo, and Edward Rzucidlo; three daughters, Joanne Rzucidlo and Annette P. Rzucidlo both of Cochranville, and Mary Rzucidlo of Nottingham; one brother, Mike Rzucidlo (Joan) of Newark; nine grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

He was predeceased by a son John C. Rzucidlo Jr, a stepson Charles Miller, by four brothers, Stanley “Whitey”, Frank, Stanley and Joe, and eight sisters, Sophie, Josephine, Helen, Stephanie, Mary, Laura, Jane, and Carol.

You are invited to visit with John’s family from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at St. Malachy Catholic Church 76 St. Malachy Road in Cochranville.  His mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery in Kennett Square. Contributions in his memory may be made to Brandywine Valley Hospice 121 Bell Tower Lane, Oxford, PA 19363.  Arrangements are being handled by the Cleveland & Grieco Funeral Home Inc.
