Sylvia Ann Guizzetti

Sylvia Ann Guizzetti, 79, of Landenberg, died at the Paoli Hospital on Thursday, Sept. 20. She was the wife of Gildo D. Guizzetti, Sr., with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.

Born in Denver, Pa., the daughter of the late Mary Charlotte Reider and Lester Kilhefner, she moved to West Grove as a young child.

She was a partner in the family business, G. Guizzetti & Sons, Landenberg.

Sylvia was a loving wife, mother and mom-mom. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, cooking, going to the Jersey shore and especially being with her family and friends.

She was a founding member of Saint Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, Avondale.

In addition to her husband, Sylvia is survived by three sons, Victor A. Guizzetti and his wife Susanne of Landenberg, Michael A. Guizzetti and his wife Faith of Landenberg, and Gildo  D. Guizzetti, Jr. and his wife Michele of Landenberg; one daughter, Linda R. DiLuzio and her husband Jim of Landenberg; one sister, Mardell Sweigart of Denver, Pa.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Dale Kilhefner and John Strohl, Jr.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, at the Kuzo  & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square,(Phone 610-444-4116 ), and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Route 41), Avondale. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Kennett Square
