Mary A. Mccafferty of West Grove

Mary A. Mccafferty, 88, of West Grove, died Tuesday, Feb. 14,
at the Christiana Hospital in Newark. She was the wife of Edward J.
McCafferty, Sr., whodied in 1998, and with whom she shared 55 years of
marriage.

Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Henry and
Theresa Forte Giampalmi.

She was a professional chef for 27 years, last working at
the Red Lantern Inn, Kennett Square.

Mary was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother
Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Swayne, Campbell, Testa V.F.W.
Post # 5467, in Kennett Square.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and she helped her husband
with his racing pigeons.

She is survived by one son, Edward J. McCafferty of West
Grove; one brother, Robert Giampalmi of Wilmington, and two sisters, Evelyn
Rattenni of East Hampton, N.Y. and Rose Anne Moore of Newark.

She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.

Her Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb.
23, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street. Kennett
Square, (Phone: 610-444-4116). A graveside service will held at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, at the Indian town Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the
family.
