Richard Brinton Miller, formerly of Chadds Ford

Richard Brinton Miller, 72, of Ligonier died at the
Bethlen Home on Feb. 10. He was born March 2, 1939 in Chadds Ford, the son of
the late Paul G. and Helen Brinton (Heyburn) Miller.

He graduated from Kennett High School and the University
of Delaware with a degree in electrical engineering. He was employed at
Westinghouse Energy Systems and retired as a fellow engineer after 35 years.
During his 10 years of retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at the Ohiopyle
State Park clearing and maintaining trails, and at the Sanderson Museum in
Chadds Ford. He was a member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church and served as
chairman of the Board of Deacons for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joanne (Moore)
Miller; four children, Richard P. Miller and wife Rebecca of New Brighton,
Sandra Bardell and husband Paul of Erwinna, Kathleen Huber and husband Brian of
Ligonier and Daniel Miller and wife Jaylene of Downingtown, eight
grandchildren, Matthew and Leslie Miller, Stephanie and Richard Bardell,
Kelleigh, Christopher and Kevin Huber and Katerina Miller. Family and friends
will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the Snyder Funeral Home, 402 E.
Church St., Ligonier. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the
Pioneer Presbyterian church, Ligonier with the Rev. David Kenyon officiating. A
graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Brandywine Baptist
Church Cemetery, 1463 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317.
