Nicholas Charles Melchior Jr. of Kennett Square

Nicholas Charles Melchior Jr., 85, of Kennett Square, died
Thursday, Feb. 2, at Pembrooke Health and Rehab Residence. He was the husband
of Elizabeth Raytik Melchior, who died in 2000.

Born in Kennett Square, he was the son of the late Nicholas
C. Melchior Sr. and Mollie DiCrescenzo Melchior.

He was the owner of the Kennett Café in Kennett Square,
retiring in 2004.

Mr. Melchior was a member of the Italian –American Club in
Kennett Square, and a social member of St. Anthony’s Club and the Sons of
Italy, both in Wilmington.

He enjoyed coin collecting, golf and was an avid Phillies
fan.

He is survived by one son, Dennis J. Melchior of Kennett
Square; one daughter, Linda M. Harpe of Kennett Square; one brother, Eugene
Melchior of Wilmington, and two grandchildren, Michelle Harpe and Elizabeth
Harpe.

Mr. Melchior was predeceased by one son, Nicholas C.
Melchior, III.

Mr. Melchior service and burial will be private.

Arrangements by the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home in Kennett
Square.
