Louis E. Guerrina of Cochranville

Louis E. Guerrina, 68, died peacefully on Sept. 13, at his
home in Cochranville, surrounded by his family. His childhood was spent
in Philadelphia and Kaolin, and he was a graduate of Salesianum School and
Spring Garden College. Louis retired in 2008 from I.D. Griffith, Inc, a
mechanical contracting company in Wilmington, as president and owner after 35
years of dedicated service.

Louis participated in many organizations and endeavors but
always made time for those who sought his counsel in life, love, personal and
professional matters or simply needed a helping hand. Giving of himself was a
priority in his life and provided him the most joy. He was a champion
trap shooter, avid hunter and supporter of land conservation and
preservation. He spent much of his spare time on his beloved property
where he created a beautiful parkland that is cherished by his family, friends
and neighbors and will serve as a perpetual legacy of his spirit.

Louis is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Shively
Guerrina, son Michael, daughter Karen, son-in-law Grant DeCosta, grandson Luke,
parents Louis Elmer and Mary, sisters Marie Guerrina and Rita Tattersall,
brother-in-law Tom Tattersall, and uncle Joseph Olivieri.

A life member of the NRA, Louis was also an active member of
the Delaware Contractors Association, American Trap Association, Atglen
Sportsman's Club, Oxford Gun Club (former president), Runnymeade Gun Club,
Ducks Unlimited, Buck & Doe Trust, Southern Lancaster County Gun Club,
Richardson Park Sportsman's Club, New Holland Rod & Gun Club, Prince of
Piedmont Lodge, Italian American Citizens League of Kennett Square, St. Malachi
Catholic Church, and the Londonderry Township Planning Commission. He
actively supported the Brandywine Conservancy, S.A.V.E, Longwood Gardens,
Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Misty of Chincoteague Foundation, Havre De Grace
Decoy Museum, Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and Cheshire Hunt Conservancy.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 6 to
