Marianne ‘Mimi’ Murray of Thornton

Marianne "Mimi" Murray (nee
Sinopoli), 56, died Tuesday, April 12, at home, surrounded by her loving
family.

Mimi was born in Syracuse, N.Y. to
Richard V. and Olga Sinopoli (nee Stevens) and attended the University of
Rochester, graduating in 1976 with dual Bachelors of Science degrees in
psychology and biology. She went on to earn a masters degree in nutrition from
Syracuse University in 1978.

She has worked as a dietitian at
Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital, adjunct nutrition professor at Widener University's
School of Nursing, and since 1991 the Bryn Mawr College/Haverford College
campus dietitian. In 2000 Mimi helped start the Bryn Mawr College Body Image
Council. She was a congregant at Elam United Methodist Church in Glen Mills.

Mimi is survived by husband, Clem
Murray; two sons, Rich Murray of Raleigh, N.C. and Greg Murray of Denver,
Colo.; sister Kathie Sinopoli and aunt Mary Stevens, both from Fayetteville,
N.Y.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 9
p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge
Rd., Glen Mills. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. the following day
at the church with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.

Interment will be private.
