Frances O. McLaughlin Foster of Oxford, formerly of Kennett Square

Frances O. McLaughlin Foster, 92, of Oxford, formerly of
Kennett Square, died Monday, Feb. 28, at the Ware Presbyterian Village in
Oxford. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Foster, who died in 2008 and
with whom she shared 34 years of marriage. Her first husband of 34 years,
Wallace “Sax” McLaughlin, Sr., died in 1972.

Born in Mountain City, Tenn. she was the daughter of the
late Elbert and Mary Harper Gentry.

Frances was a Certified Nurses Aide at Pocopson Home, West
Chester, for 30 years, retiring in 1972.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Kennett Square,
St. Patrick’s Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion, Cecil Post 15, Ladies
Auxiliary, Elkton, Md., the Ware Presbyterian Auxiliary and the Kennett Area
senior Center.

Frances enjoyed travelling, games, including bingo,
collecting antiques and she was a collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia.

She is survived by one son, Thomas E. McLaughlin and
his wife Joan of Ocean City, Md., a daughter-in-law, Bernadette Sharayko of
Collingsville, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many
cousins, nephews and countless friends.

Frances was predeceased by three sons, Wallace P.
McLaughlin, Jr., Dennis P. McLaughlin and Robert M. McLaughlin; two brothers,
Earl Gentry and Eugene Gentry; two sisters, Hazel McKinney and Elsie McKinney.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 9
to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250
West State Street, Kennett Square. Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kennett Square.
