Arthur W. Price of Landenberg

Arthur W. Price, 87, of Landenberg, formerly of New Jersey, died
Monday, Jan. 31, at his home. He was the husband of Jean Christiansen Price
with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

Born in Mercerville, N.J., he was the son of the late Arthur
and Lucy Arendt Price.

A WWII veteran, he served our country honorably in the Army
Air Corps.

He was a member of Avondale Presbyterian Church in Avondale,
where he served as an elder.

A graduate of Rutgers University and Columbia University, he
retired in 1978 after 30 years of service as the Chief of the Division of Solid
Waste for the State of New Jersey in Trenton. He was a member of the Metuchen N.J.
Masonic Lodge and past president of Edison Board of Education. An avid golfer
he enjoyed reading and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brett
R. Price and his wife, Jill of Marlboro, N.J.; Dirk A. Price and his wife,
Claire of Red Level, Ala.; one daughter, Heidi Militana and her husband, Louis
of Kemblesville; and two grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10-11 a.m.
on Friday, Feb. 4, at Avondale Presbyterian Church, 420 Pennsylvania Avenue,
Avondale, where his funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in New London Presbyterian Cemetery, 1986
Newark Rd. (Rt. 896) New London.
