Patricia Lum Taylor of Kennett Square

Patricia Lum Taylor, 88, died Jan. 20 after a long illness.
She was the beloved spouse of Thomas O. (Tuck) Taylor; mother of Tom, Paul,
Carrie, Sam and Liza; grandparent of nine and great grandparent of four.
She and Tuck lived at the retirement community of Crosslands in Kennett Square.

Originally from Washington, DC, Pat and Tuck met in high
school and graduated from Swarthmore College. They were married in 1944. They
lived many years in Drexel Hill, before moving to Lima. Pat was an active
member and Sunday school teacher at Drexel Hill Baptist Church. In later years
she attended Springfield Quaker Meeting. She was a Girl Scout volunteer and
leader, active in Swarthmore Alumni activities, and was a dedicated gardener.
When Tuck retired from the DuPont Company, she and Tuck formed the Taylor Made
Company, where she was the chief administrator. They eventually sold the
business and moved to the Crosslands retirement community, where they spent the
rest of their time together. Her greatest satisfaction was to love and care for
her husband, children, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to
the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania: http://www.gsep.org/community/support-girl-scouts.php

Arrangements by the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, Kennett
Square, PA.
