Mary D. Brown,105, died peacefully on Monday, Jan. 24 at
Linden Hall in Kennett Square. She was the widow of Alva L. Brown to whom she
was married for 64 years. Born in Intercourse, Lancaster County, she was the
daughter of the late Edgar E. and Carrie Mowery Diem.

Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Parkesburg High School and
lived in Kennett Square since 1930, formerly residing at Upper Octorara.

She was a member of the Kennett Square Presbyterian Church
and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son Ronald A. Brown and his wife Julie
of Malvern, and a daughter Nancy Lee and her husband Dr. Edward Abramson of New
Holland. Also surviving are one granddaughter, two grandsons, four great
grandsons and one great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her memory
to Friends Home of Kennett Square, 147 W. State St., Kennett Square, PA 19348
or the Willow Tree Hospice, 100 Sycamore Drive West Grove, PA 19390.

Services will be private.
