Theodore H. Turpin of West Chester

Theodore H. Turpin,86, of West Chester, died Sunday, Dec. 26, at Brandywine Hall. He
was the husband of Virginia Morris Turpin, who died in 1998, and with whom he
shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in Hurlock, Md., he was the son of
the late Harry D. and Leora Jane Hubbard Turpin.

He was a grounds keeper at the
Coatesville VA Hospital, retiring in 1996 after 20 years of service.

He was a member of the Kingsway
Independent Church, the East Lynn Grange No. 1263 and the Kennett Masonic Lodge
No. 475.

He enjoyed gardening and bowling.

Mr. Turpin is survived by two sons,
Arthur W. Turpin and his wife Wendy of Landenberg, and Andrew C. Turpin of West
Chester; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty
Brumgard of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was predeceased by six brothers and
two sisters.

family and friends from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Kuzo &
Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, (Phone:
610-444-4116). His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Longwood
Cemetery, Kennett Square.
