Catherine H. Ferranto of Toughkenamon

Catherine H. Ferranto,79, of Toughkenamon, died Nov. 3, at
Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. She was the wife of the late John L.
Ferranto, who passed away in 1979 and with whom she shared 25 years of
marriage.

Born in West Chester, she was the
daughter of the late James and Jessie Lemon LaFrance.

Mrs. Ferranto was a research assistant
Stroud Water Research in London Grove for 37 years, retiring in 2008.

She was a member of St. Gabriel of the
Sorrowful Mother Church in Avondale.

Mrs. Ferranto enjoyed trips to the
casino, Saturday night dinner with the girls, spending time with her grandson,
the company and care given by Susan and Ashley Kline, and staying in contact
with former co-workers at Stroud Water Research.

She is survived by a son, Roger L.
Ferranto and his finacée Wanda of Toughkenamon; a daughter Mary Ann
Hollingsworth and her husband Merrill of West Grove; two brothers, Joseph
LaFrance of Elkton, Md. and Richard LaFrance of Avondale; a sister Josephine
Fragale of Avondale; a grandson, John Ferranto; and a great granddaughter,
Madison Ferranto.

In addition to her husband and parents,
she was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Peter, and David LaFrance.

You are invited to visit with Mrs.
Ferranto’s family and friends on Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on
Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home
(610-444-4116), 250 W. State St., Kennett Square. Her Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith
St., Kennett Square. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
