Joseph Coates Webb Scott

Joseph Coates Webb Scott, 61,
passed away on Thursday, Sept. 30, of an apparent heart attack.

He was a lifelong resident
of the Unionville/Kennett Square area. After attending Unionville High School
he served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1970. He was the owner and operator of
Scott Plumbing for the past 35 years.

He will be remembered for
his good-natured character and his many friends of all ages and from all walks
of life. He held a lifelong interest in the arts and enjoyed traveling
throughout the U.S. His generous and kind nature left an imprint on those who
knew him and his lively character furnished his many friends with a story to
tell.

He is survived by his wife
Jane Roosevelt, his two daughters from a previous marriage, Nicole Scott and
Tasha Gibson, a granddaughter Kayla Stephney, two grandsons Kade and Shane
Gibson, a brother Damon P. Scott and his three children, a sister Becky Lockerby
and her son K.C. Lockerby.

There will be a private
burial on Saturday Oct. 9, followed by a reception and celebration for
friends at the Italian American Social Club in Kennett Square at 1 p.m.
