Louise Jeannette Kuerner, 58, died Thursday August 5 at her home in Chadds Ford.
She was born in 1952, the daughter of the late Lillian and Bennett Kline of Springfield. Her love of animals was foremost in her life, especially going for a carriage ride along the Brandywine with her horse, Dantzel. She also took care of her Shetland pony named, Chancey who is now over 30 years of age.
Flower gardening was also her true love. Dahlias were here forte, and she volunteered at the Brandywine River Museum donating her time and flower arranging abilities. Every week she would bring her flowers in the museum to help with arrangements. She also enjoyed sheering the wool from her own sheep and crocheting the yarn.
She is survived by her husband of over 25 years, Karl J. Kuerner; her father-in-law, Karl J. Kuerner, Jr.; six cats, one horse, one pony, two sheep, two goats and three farm cats.
A celebration of her life - a memorial tribute will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 15 at the Darlington Arts Center, 977 Shavertown Road, Garnet Valley.
