John S. Wenner of West Chester

John S. Wenner, 74, of West Chester, died
Thursday, July 15, at his home. He was the husband of Phyllis Iacampo Wenner,
with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late
Howard T. and Grace Walker Wenner.

John was the founder and owner of Wenner
Equipment Company in West Chester. He was a graduate of Abington High School
and the University of Delaware where he played football and wrestled. He also
received a Masters Degree from Drexel University.

John was an avid golfer and tennis player.
Most importantly, John was a family man who loved spending time with his
grandchildren, especially as their number one fan and supporter.

In addition to his wife Phyllis, John is
survived by one son; John H. Wenner and his wife Caren of Downingtown, two
daughters; Danielle Schoeninger and her husband Richard of Malvern, and Judy
Yeatman and her husband Jerry of Avondale, one brother; Jerry Wenner and his
wife Barbara of Medford Lakes N.J., and eight grandchildren; Allison, Drew, Lucy,
Jane, Lydia, Vaughn, Samuel, and Grace. He was pre deceased by one brother H.
Theodore Wenner.

A memorial service celebrating John’s life
will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday July 20, at the Episcopal Church of the Advent,
401 N. Union St. Kennett Square, PA 19348. Friends and family are invited to
visit with the family from 10-11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be
held in the church memorial garden.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made
in his memory to the Episcopal Church of The Advent, 201 Crestline Drive,
Kennett Square, PA 19348.
