Harley C. Barker, 87, of Kennett Square, died Saturday,
March 27 at the Chester County Hospital. 
He was the husband of Ruth Buffington Barker with whom he shared 67
years of marriage.

Born in Damascus, Va., he was a son of the late Grover C.
and Annie Reed Barker.

Harley served our country in the Army during WWII.

For seven decades, he worked in the auto parts industry,
most recently at Kennett Auto Parts.

He was a past commander of the VFW Post 5467 in Kennett, a
member of the American Legion, and a past scout master of the local Boy Scout
Troop. He was one of the Grand Marshalls at a recent Kennett Square Memorial
Day parade.

Survivors include in addition to his wife, two sons, Kenneth
H. Barker and his companion Imajean Peterson of Avondale, Larry E. Barker and
his wife Elizabeth of Kennett Square, one sister Elizabeth Hettinger of Long Beach,
Calif., and three step grandchildren, James, Brian and Kevin Fiumara.  He was predeceased by three brothers.

You are invited to visit with Harley’s family and friends,
from 9 -11 a.m. Wednesday March 31, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc.,
250 W. State St. Kennett Square. 
His funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Union Hill
Cemetery, Kennett Square. Contributions in his memory may be made to the
