John Wallace
Stanfield
, 60, of Chadds Ford, died March 2 at Neighborhood Hospice
in West Chester after a long battle against many illnesses. He was the beloved
husband of Patricia (nee Philburn) Stanfield, with whom he shared the past 33
years.

Born May 8, 1949 in Elizabeth, N.J. to
 John and Claire (nee Clark) Stanfield, John grew up in Bloomfield, N.J. 
He was a professional drummer during high school and college.

He attended Seton Hall University prior
to enlisting in the U. S. Marine Corps in 1969. After the military, John
graduated from the RCA Technical Institute in Cherry Hill, NJ. He was a systems
support engineer with Hewlett Packard and then Agilent T echnologies during a
career that totaled 34 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived
by a daughter, Eileen C. Stanfield of Wilmington; a son, Andrew F. Stanfield of
Asheville, N.C.; two brothers, Robert Stanfield of Lakewood, N.J. and James
Stanfield (Cheryl) of Wayne, N.J.; and by four nieces.

He was predeceased by his parents and a
brother, William Stanfield (Kathy).

You are invited to visit with John’s
family and friends on Saturday, March 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kuzo
& Grieco Funeral Home (610-444-4116), 250 West State St., Kennett Square.
His funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s
memory may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St., West Chester,
PA 19380.
