Tranquilla Quaglia of Kennett Square

Tranquilla Quaglia,88 of Kennett Square, died Monday, Nov.
16, at Fair Acres in Lima.  She was
the wife of the late Peter Quaglia, who died in 2006 and with whom she shared
62 years of marriage.

Born in Cleulis, Province of
Udine, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Felice and Maria Primus Maieron.

Mrs. Quaglia was a member of
St. Patrick Church in Kennett Squar since 1944.  She was also a member of the Kennett Area Senior Center.

She worked beside her husband
for over 30 years in the mushroom industry.

Mrs. Quaglia enjoyed cooking,
crocheting, and flower and vegetable gardening.  She was an excellent seamstress.  In retirement, she enjoyed her home in Cape May.

She is survived by three
daughters, Mur Louisa Quaglia and her husband Dr. Dennis O’Brien of Chicago, Ill.,
Dianne W. Quaglia of San Antonio, Texas, and Jane Q. Freemas and her husband
Ronald of Glen Mills; three grandchildren, Christopher Zelski of Atlanta, Ga.,
David P. Bosmans of San Antonio, Texas, and Jennifer A. Freemas of Santa
Monica, Calif.; and by two brothers, Felix Maieron and Joseph Maieron and one
sister, Fede Barone.

Her Funeral Mass was
celebrated Friday, Nov. 20 at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith St., Kennett
Square, PA.  Entombment was in Our
Lady of Peace Chapel at St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
