Irene G. Plankinton (née Gibson), formerly of Kennett Square, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009. She was 91 years old. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Matilda Mae Gibson. She was the wife of the late Leon Jacob Plankinton, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage.
