Stella W. Tice, 89, of Oxford died Friday, Aug. 7 at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford. She was the wife of James C. Tice, who passed away in 2000, and with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

Born in Big Stone Gap, Va., she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Sarah Robinette Wells.

She was a secretary for 10 years for Wyeth Laboratories. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Stella is survived by one daughter, Katherine L. Nesbitt and her husband Cliff of Lincoln University, one son, Richard C. Tice of Allentown, one sister, Margaret Roat of Broomall, one brother Guy Wells of Lewisburg, W.V., three grandchildren, Rick Tice, Stephanie L. Nesbitt and her husband Forrest Patterson, and Amy Tice, and one great grandchild.

You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Kuzo and Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, (Phone: 610-444-4116). Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford.
