Bud Lambert of Kennett Square

Bud Lambert, age 80, of Kennett Square, PA, died Friday July 3 at the Meadow Springs Nursing Home in Plymouth Meeting. He was the companion of the late Charlotte R. Jenkins who died in 2007. 

Born in Bland County, Va., he was a son of the late Wesley and Stella (Pauley) Lambert.
He served his country in the Korean War in the Army. 

He was a Press Operator for the Wilmington News Journal retiring in the late 1980s.
He was a member of the Kennett Fire Company, and the Kennett Police Department where he worked for many years as the parking enforcement officer. 

Survivors include, three sons, Thomas Lambert of Rocky Gap Virginia, George Lambert of Knoxville Tenn., Wesley Lambert of Knoxville; two daughters, Dora Lashombe of New Castle Del., Patricia Newhouse of Middletown; three sisters, Martha L. Cregger of Ceres Va., Louise Bevil of Ceres Va., and Margaret Sharitz of Wytheville Va.; a stepson Michael Jenkins of Landenberg, a step daughter Michelle Whisman of Kennett Square PA, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by three sisters, Mamie Lambert, Bertha Lambert, and Opel Dent, and one daughter Virgie Louise Lambert. 

A funeral service was held 8 p.m. Tuesday July 7 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 West State St. Kennett Square. Interment was private.
