Philip R. Simons, of Warren

Philip R. Simons, 62, of Warren, Pa. died at his residence, Friday, April 24 after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was born August 24, 1946 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Lester and Eileen Spellman Simons. He has resided in Warren for the past 23 years moving here from Houston, Texas.

Philip was a 1964 graduate of Henderson High School, West Chester, and earned his associates degree from Penn State University. He had served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Phil was currently employed with the Elwood National Forge Company and had also worked one year with the Elwood City National Forge Company as a product manager. He enjoyed reading, fishing and the company of his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Yoder Simons whom he married June 23, 1979 in Unionville; two sons Michael and Richard Simons both of West Chester, and one brother, Larry Simons of Marci, Ky.
