Journey back to the 18^th century this September 16^th and 17^th as the Chadds Ford Historical Society hosts their annual event. This weekend long Colonial festival celebrates and reenacts the September 11, 1777 Battle of Brandywine, the largest single-day battle of the American Revolution.

The event will include battle reenactments twice daily, soldiers performing military drills and battlefield encampments demonstrating life in the 18^th century. Get a glimpse of what it was like to be a women following General Washington’s army as a “Camp Follower”.  Observe some of the daily tasks that these women provided for the soldiers.

Enjoy this annual tradition as you travel back and immerse yourself in the 18^th century. This family-friendly festival, features battlefield reenactments, colonial demonstrators, reenactors, artisans, authors, non-profits, live music, food and libations.
