Kennett Symphony Orchestra ChristmasThe Kennett Symphony of Chester County continues its 75th Anniversary Season with the Annual Holiday Concert, Pops Goes the Holiday, under the direction of Music Director, Michael Hall and featuring the Kennett Symphony Children’s Chorus and First State Ballet Theatre.

The evening will begin at 6:30pm with fun and festive pre-concert entertainment. Take Selfies with Santa while listening to a brass trio and caroling from the Kennett Symphony Children’s Chorus. The concert will begin at 7:30pm and will be followed by a post-concert Q & A with Michael Hall. This exciting evening full of holiday cheer will take place at Unionville High School Auditorium on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

This year’s Holiday Concert is filled with the joyful sounds of the season. From traditional Christmas carols like Hark the Herald Angels Sing, to the exhilarating Sleigh Ride and selections from the Nutcracker featuring First State Ballet Theatre, Pops Goes the Holiday is the perfect way for your friends and family to ring in the season. This is an evening that is sure to delight!

In celebration of the holidays, the Kennett Symphony will be holding a food drive to benefit the Kennett Food Cupboard. Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the concert on December 5. The Kennett Symphony also welcomes non-perishable food items to be dropped off directly to the Symphony office at 106 West State Street in Kennett Square through Friday, December 4.

The Kennett Symphony Children’s Chorus has been enriching the lives of children through exceptional repertoire and energizing choral activities since 1990. Founded by Karen L. Markey as an educational outreach of the Kennett Symphony of Chester County, the Children’s Chorus is in residence at West Chester University. Led by Artistic and Executive Director, Eileen Keller, the Children’s Chorus gives qualified singers an opportunity to perform excellent, age-appropriate repertoire that is culturally and musically diverse. Numbering more than 90 singers, the choristers represent public, private, parochial, charter, and home schools in Chester County, Lancaster County, and the Northern Delaware Region.

Single ticket prices are $25-$48 in advance, $30-$53 on the day of the concert. Students 18 and under are $10. Group discounts are available and there is free parking on site.
