The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Chester and Delaware counties until 7:15 p.m.
At 6:21 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Maryland north, moving east at 60 mph.
Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.
Locations impacted include Philadelphia, Wilmington, Newark, West Chester, Westtown, Downingtown, Conshohocken, Folcroft, Swarthmore, Elsmere, Kennett Square and New Castle.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 8 p.m. for Southeastern Pennsylvania. A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe.
A flood watch is also in effect until 10:30 p.m.
