Richard D. “Doug” Kley of West Chester

Richard D. "Doug" Kley, 75, of West Chester, formerly of New Castle, Del. and Green Ridge, Pa., died Feb. 19.

Born in Chester, in 1941, he was the son of the late Richard and Kathryn (nee Russler) Kley. Doug was a graduate of Eddystone High School and the captain of the swim team. He had a passion for model trains and taking care of his lawn in the summer. Doug served as an usher at SS Simon & Jude Church. He enjoyed traveling into Amish Country in Lancaster County.

Doug was the beloved husband of Lorraine A. (nee Pasco) Kley; loving father of Stephen D. Kley (Lauren A.); also survived by many loving and wonderful nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382 followed by his funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of America, One Plymouth Meeting Mall, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
