• Ashlie Pilotti, of Chadds Ford, was among 2,253 students at Coastal Carolina University who made the Fall 2016 Dean's List. Pilotti is a senior majoring in biology. To qualify for the Dean's List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average.

To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

• Michael Bechtold, of Chadds Ford, is a member of the 2017 James Madison baseball program. The Dukes' season starts with a weekend series in Conway S.C., including a date with reigning national champion Coastal Carolina on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. JMU will play 30 home games at Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park this season.
