Concord shooting under investigation

Pennsylvania State Police from Troop K, Media barracks, are investigating a shooting in Concord Township yesterday.

The incident happened shortly before 4 p.m. Police responded to 757 Naaman’s Creek Road for a report of a 62-year-old man with a bullet wound to the chest.

Police said Concordville Fire Co. medics stabilized the victim and took him to Chester Crozer Hospital for treatment.

The scene was secured and police canvassed the area for witnesses. A search revealed no weapons, and it was undetermined whether the gunshot was self-inflicted, the report said.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to contact Tpr. Brian Richardson at 484-840-1000.
