Artist Carrie Barcomb, of Media, paints a scene at the Kuerner Farm. Her work, along with a dozen other painters will be on display and for sale at the Sanderson Museum, from noon to 4 p.m., on Saturday, April 9.

Folks at the Christian Sanderson Museum are brushing up for an Artisan Showcase and Sale scheduled for Saturday, April 9, from noon to 4 p.m. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say the artists are brushing up.

A dozen artists have been painting scenes on the property at Painter’s Folly on Route 1 in Chadds Ford Township, and spent a sunny March 30 morning doing the same at the Kuerner Farm on Ring Road.

According to the Sanderson’s Marketing Director Krista Bolmer, the showcase will also feature a wine tasting courtesy of Galer Winery.

All of the plein air paintings will be for sale, Bolmer said, but 20 percent of the sale price will go to the museum. The event is a fundraiser for the Sanderson.
