S’now way: More stormy weather in forecast

A “significant winter storm” will impact the region with its main effects occurring from Friday night into Saturday, the National Weather Service reported on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 22.
Snow, freezing rain, and rain are all expected with this storm. A second storm will threaten the region late in the weekend, followed by much colder air for next week. Low temperatures Tuesday morning are expected to be in the single digits and teens. Wind chills will be colder.
Chester County is expected to receive three to four inches of snow before 7 p.m. Saturday with a slight potential of up to eight inches. There may be some light freezing rain as well, but icing amounts are expected to be light, and will occur after the snow has fallen.
Another storm system will move through the region late Sunday into Monday morning. More snow is expected with this second storm, and its timing may impact the Monday morning commute. More details on the second storm will be issued on Friday, the National Weather Service said.
