Pennsylvania State Police from Troop J, Avondale barracks, are investigating a fatal traffic accident that killed a bicyclist on Route 926 in the overnight hours of Aug.23 and 24. According to a police report, Arthur Joseff Teitsort-Birog, 24, was riding his bicycle eastbound on 926 just east of the intersection with Schoolhouse Lane in East Marlborough Township when a 2004 silver/gray Jeep Liberty driven by Alan Michael Medina Barajas, 21, of Pocopson Township, struck the bicycle from behind about 20 yards from the intersection. The impact hurled Teitsort-Birog into the air and about 10 yards into the grass. The accident happened about midnight, police said, but troopers found the victim dead at approximately 2:20 a.m. Medina Barajas was found at a residence about five minutes from the scene of the accident, police said. Anyone who may have seen the accident is asked to phone police at 610-268-2022.
